The first time music from THE PUNISHER was available was in the form of this peculiar synthesiser cover released in 1992 on the UK / German CD compilation HEROES IN ACTION a.k.a. UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS (Silva Screen / Edel Records) featuring music from the films of JCVD, Dolph, and Arnold.
Worth a listen for oddities, but of course the original orchestral recording is by far the best (only released in 2005)...

In October ‘89, French magazine "USA" aka "Comics USA" supported the movie release with this Mike Zeck illustration and special coverage on the film and the comics.
Tomorrow we'll celebrate the 30th anniversary of the German theatrical release / world premiere so here are a few German clippings:

I think this was a month or two after filming THE PUNISHER when Dolph went to promote RED SCORPION in Japan circa late 1988 early '89 and came back to train at Mas Oyama's dojo with Kenji Yamaki and Hirofumi Kanayama under Shokei Matsui (one of the Kyokushin leaders since Oyama's passing).

Dolph did a lot of publicity in France, long beforehand and during the theatrical release.
Here is a rare live interview he did on channel 5 (La Cinq) 30 years ago today:
