One of Dolph's best looking movies, it'd be great if he managed to make stuff on this level and with this budget consistently, I think we'd all be happy. It's lightyears away from the awful digital FX in Hard Night Falling.

Still waiting for a UK blu release though!

I recently saw RAMBO: LAST BLOOD (for the first time) and then SKIN TRADE a couple days later, and thought ST was vastly superior...

I liked both films the same, but i can see why Rambo fans have different opinions about Last Blood. What annoys me is how Sly had so much better earlier scripts for that storyline, all by other writers, but then went and re-wrote the Last Blood and in my opinion, turned what should have been a great finale for one of the greatest action movie characters into solid but still average action revenge film. And it also didn't help how the movie kept getting messed with in post, i'm sure even without all that deleted footage shown in trailers and behind the scenes everyone would still realize how it went through re-editing more than once, even the "extended cut" feels like it still has lot of stuff missing from the film.

I also gave this one a re-watch yesterday.

Skin Trade is a very good looking movie with good action, a motivated Dolph and a good cast.
Probably one of his best movies of the last 20 years.

I always liked this artwork the best, it's so moody, dark and melancholic...

Apparently a lot of people are finding the Blu-ray (the Walmart exclusive) at the Dollar or Dollar Tree stores these days...

The best Dolph Lundgren movie in 10 years where he played the lead. It has this flavor of good early 90's movie. It is really good that Walmart have it on sale . People will like it. I was wondering about the sequel for this movie because ending was open for Dolph character searching his kidnapped daughter...

Also I agree with Jox that this movie had a bigger impact than Rambo Last Blood. Development of the story is much better, how human trafficking works and tons of action. Rambo lacks this parts, especially action sequences -only final has at least some of it and looks a little cool , the rest of it is just dialogue ana drama with nonsense . Not a Rambo movie for sure - u could called it John Wick 29 or something else. Paz Vega second lead is just furniture in that movie - why the hell she was in this movie for ? or maybe they deleted her scenes after initial bad test screening and re-shots Even Rambo is responsible for the girl's death because mexicans found her photo in Sly's pocked they put her on drugs and she eventually dies

The open, downbeat ending wasn't written by Dolph with a sequel in mind but more to avoid a "Hollywood" happy ending and to address the fact that the human trafficking issue is not resolved in reality and still ongoing (so to resolve it in a movie would kind of cancel that and make it seem as if all ends well in the end)...

Yes, I never saw it as a proper "happy ending", or even as a open ending. For me, his character can not find closure, making it all the more tragic.
