Good News! :D Now only Dolph's assertion is missing to see them together again

That was less worrying, Dolph having pretty much unofficially agreed "live" on the UNISOL 3 audio commentary.

It seems this has the potential to be better than US-3, not to stick my head in the clouds but hopefully it'll have a proper face-off between JC and Dolph, including a shootout and a decent length fight, the one in US-3 was a great burst of nostalgia but as my Dad commented, Dolph was short-lived, hopefully they'll have some really interesting twist to the characters and who is chasing who to create something more entertaining and original than just JC's good guy vs Dolph's bad guys again.

There are some twists and a different dynamic. But it should be a direct sequel from UNISOL 3.

I'm glad they aren't ignoring it but they definately do need to shake things up a little. A straight up JC vs Dolph movie would be too much like "been there, done that" but I'm sure John has some fresh ideas.

It's not what it is.

It seems John Hyams is going to make the movie without the help of his father Peter this time.

Guess Peter went back to DP duties as a one off. I thought he did a great job on Unisol 3, and generally I'm not a fan of Hyam's DP work.

Hopefully they get a decent DP, but I'm sure John knows what he's doing.

John might also not want to make his career in his father's shadow. I'm not worried about him getting a great DP and doing a great job anyway.

Hey yeno, Peter Hyams did a real good job of DOP on US-3, he made Bulgaria look the best it ever has, which is a challenge as there is only so much you can do to make Bulgaria look good and on a limited budget. It's one of those countries that most of the time seems to look like shit. John Hyams may DOP this one himself? I guess he must know a bit about it from his father? I hope it's shot somewhere other than Bulgaria though, any excuse would do and as much as I liked the harsh grittiness of the factory I couldn't stand another 90 minute iron-clad MMA bash. Maybe Luc has escaped to one of the neighbouring countries? Or sailed on an iceberg to the US?

I think the idea of a fourth UniSol film may be pushing it ever so slightly, especially if Dolph is resurrected AGAIN. However, that's not to say I wouldn't go and see it! If it does receive a theatrical release, it could help boost Dolph's career even further, and will pull in large crowds of people who want to see a proper action movie in 3-D. It may even alert cinemagoers who are unfamiliar with Dolph and JC to these guys' work, and stoke interest in the previous UniSol instalments!

I'm not sure how well the concept of having Dolph as a cyborg would work, though...

They can do whatever they want with the story, anyway I'll be glad for them to get together again for another film, with more screentime to Dolph also hopefully.

Sheldon Lettich just mentioned this would be filmed in Louisiana (Dolph back to NoLa or not far?):

Let's set the record straight. US-4 is shooting in Louisiana, USA. "The Tower" is not happening. The action-comedy I wrote takes place entirely in Moscow (although we may not actually film there). "Weapon" is the only one of these projects that will be filming in Eastern Europe, despite the fact that the story is supposed to take place in North America.
