Dolph discussed "Chuck" in Berlin. He said it was an original experience because it's his first role in a Network TV series and it's comedy, but he plays a Russian spy in it.

NBC launched a TV spot for Season 4 in which you can spot Linda Hamilton but no Dolph yet.

His next role is hardly a stretch — he'll play a Russian spy in the season premiere of the TV action-comedy, "Chuck."
"That's a trip. I've never done any television and I haven't done any comedies so this is a combination of both," says Lundgren, admitting that the role is nevertheless "Ivan Drago in a suit."

Haha Ivan Drago in a suit. Sounds great! Maybe after this he will get to be in more comedy's? After all he can be a funny guy.

That's a bit disappointing, was hoping for something different ... oh well, I'm sure it'll be a fun, it's a comedy series after all.

Apparently they had been thinking about either Van Damme (who turned them down I think) or Dolph in the show since the second season in 2008:

Josh Schwartz wants Jean-Claude Van Damme for the season premiere; Chris Fedak wants Dolf Lundgren.

Yes, from what i've heard and seen, Chuck's creators are kinda "geeks" (I saw an interview of Guillermo Del Toro where the guys come and greet DelToro, telling him he's a genius, without taking care of the cameras)
I'm looking forward to that episode.
