my source in Bulgaria has checked in with some more information for us, I'll lay it down in a list here for you:

-Chuck Norris will play a character named BOOKER
-There is a big role in the film that has yet to be cast, the character will be named TIMMONS, we should know who will be playing the role by the end of October as that's when the character's part is being filmed
-Mickey Rourke WILL NOT BE In Expendables 2 BUT he also ISN'T DEAD, he can return for Expendables 3
-Jet Li has only 3 scenes in the movie and they will ALL BE IN CHINA, however his stunt double is reportedly filming in Bulgaria for 10 days. What I think is happening there is that they will be filming several wide shots of the stunt double in Bulgaria where we can't see his face, fights and shootouts probably.

Timmons = Seagal maybe? As much of a jackass as he can be I'd love to see him in this flick.

I hope Adkins gets to do something more substantial as the henchman. Austin and Daniels just stood around looking menacing in the first movie and Daniels didn't even have a name.

If the rumors are still true that they're going after Cage or Travolta or both, that would seem more likely. If it's a major role, that's one more name they can put above the title. And now Travolta's movie has been delayed. The Seagal ship has sailed.

Sly made his part bigger during the shoot but it seems most of it went on the cutting room floor.

Jox, have you had an opportunity to read the script? Have you heard anything about it? I was wondering if it a had a different vibe since Sly didn't write this one.

I don't anything more than you guys about this one for now...

By the way, I recently found out that the shooting script of the first film was actually written uncredited by Robert Mark Kamen (THE KARATE KID, THE PUNISHER, THE TRANSPORTER) brought in by Sly to rewrite it. How much Sly wrote on the first draft is also questionable since he just rewrote the script from Dave Callaham (which led to an arbitration of the Writers Guild of America to give credit to Callaham to both the original story and script).
