Guys from the UK, and other people with compatible entertainment system  -

ITNOTK II is only £6.00 to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk right now, I wasn't going to purchase it first week as it's always too expensive, especially for what is usually a shit DTV, but at £6.00 it isn't bad and I think you get the pre-order price guarantee whereby if you pre-order it you get it for the lowest price it was at during the pre-order period. Just a heads up.

Dolph was asked by Empire about ITNOTK2 so here you have it loud and clear:
“Why did you make this film?” we asked Dolph recently.

“Oh god, the Uwe Boll question,” he said.

“What can I say? It was an experience,” he went on. “It wasn’t exactly my taste, but I did it for other reasons. I was getting divorced at the time and I needed some cash quickly to pay for a few things… lawyers. Uwe is actually very impressive though. He has his own business and he runs everything the way he wants to do it, up there in Vancouver. He makes his own movies, gets his own financing. I wish I could do that. I wouldn’t have to work for anybody else!”

So, we wondered, did downtime on the Expendables 2 set ever see Dolph and The Stath comparing notes? And how did Dolph feel about playing Statham’s son?

“Am I his son?!” This was apparently news. “God, I hope not. I didn’t see the first one. Well, I saw part of it… I don’t know who I play. I think I’m just another guy who has the same sort of adventure. I don’t know what happened to Jason. Did he go back in time too? [He didn’t.] We never talked about it, never mentioned it. Wow, you learn things all the time…”

Looks fucking mad. Like what they've done with the colour palette, doesn't look mega mega cheap at least.

Oh, I don't know... Looks pretty cheap to me.

It's like, how fast did they have to cut the action to make it look halfway exciting? And it still didn't, really.

The "You can take your prophecy and shove it up your.." (cut to action) is allright. Not new, but still allright.

"Size does matter" and cut to DL staring down the dragon is O.K. too.

The cinematography, though not amazing and also thanks to the location, was one of the best things (with the orchestral score) in it. The editing is another story.

Without having read the script I'd guess that the script is one of the best things about the movie. The story, tounge in cheek dialougue and action could have become really cool little movie. It's just that it was handled badly. Dolph got the tone of it down perfectly, he plays it exactly right but when everything else in the movie is so bad even his performance seems halfassed.

And yeah the editing is seems horrible, both in the actual film and in that trailer. But I have no idea what options the editor had in the cutting room.
