I agree, whilst I don't object to D working with the likes of Steve and Cuba, I'd much rather see SkinTrade rather than what's likely to be two quick buck projects. We've had enough of those to last a lifetime, Dolph directing always means a better shot at a quality final product.

Wonder if the pre-sales for this one weren't very strong. Seems a bit odd that the production company would go ahead and put the director on a brand new project almost out of the blue. If one had to be put in "turnaround" I'd rather it be this one and not ONE IN THE CHAMBER since the director on CHAMBER seems to have more to offer than Barbarash.

As I said it also may be that, just like ON IN THE CHAMBER and Tony Giglio, they attached Barbarash's name with the project by default to pre-sales the project when nothing was signed and another director will be hired/announced soon... In any case I believe they'll have to use Dolph and Austin in one of their future movies.

Very excited - they're both pros. But we're now trying to figure out how the production schedule for Six Bullets will affect The Package since both actors have very busy schedules as well. Story of my life I'm just happy to be working!

So now it's clear Van Damme's SIX BULLETS (a.k.a. THE BUTCHER) comes first! (And there's TE2 coming as well so I understand it will be tricky to make THE PACKAGE before then)

All of them seems to be shoot in Romania, at least Six Bullets it's confirmed to be shoot in my country.

I think THE PACKAGE will shoot in Louisiana (which I suspected) if I understood correctly.

Yup, Dolph said Louisiana, but i doub't that the entire movie will be shoot there due to the budget

It's not impossible that the entire movie would be filmed in Louisiana, as the state makes it cheaper to shoot there than anywhere else in the US, STASH HOUSE and THE PHILLY KID (with MJW) were shot there and are cheaper productions than US4 for instance. I assume shooting there is similar than in Canada for instance, so you can make movies under $5 million. Doesn't Dolph also has a smaller number of days in this one than ONE IN THE CHAMBER? I guess Steve Austin is the American star here...

Yes! shooting the movie in Louisiana. i have a good chance. but if they are trying to finish filming by October - this is a little soon for me. i'll take this one day at a time .
Since this movie is in development now, and not a rumor that it might film, this movie thread should also be moved to 'Dolph's movies' section of the website, i think, because it seems like to me that it will help keep things more orderly, rather than having movies in the movies section, and movies in the rumors section, and having to jump back and forth to see what's going on with all of them, just a suggestion. .

Also, Barbarash seems to be on top of the game right now. All his previous movies turned half good with the last one Assassination Games very good. The guy is more interesting than Florentine and Reine and the moment and never had as good working conditions as these guys. So it is a very good news.
