I ask because from the stills and the trailer, it seems to me like we have very few scenes with Dolph; they all seem to be various cuts from about three seperate scenes, and mostly from in his mansion in his robe. I'm guessing it's just an extended cameo, much like Regeneration. Still, reduced Dolph is better than no Dolph.

Have to check the script again, but maybe 4-5 scenes or something like that. I don't get why they're only releasing pics in his robe which is more than one scene but at least 2/3 into the movie...

I know, it gives savvier movie fans the impression his scenes are crammed into one set and shot quickly.
If he's better utilised in a smaller role, then great! We all know the impression he can make in a smaller role from watching Johnny Mnemonic :)

I get a very similar feeling to OITC watching that trailer. Seems like lot of cool ideas, badass action and fun characters but it also has that "cheap" look to it. In the case of The Package it's that Canadian network television look. That doesn't necessarily mean it's bad though, it's just a little worrying.

It sure probably is under the $5 million range, what I hope is that Johnson was able to make the movie he wanted action/violence-wise and editing-wise (not sure how involved producer Brad Krevoy and his people were but he hasn't got the best reputation and tastes)... From I what I heard Johnson seem pretty happy about the film but that doesn't necessarily mean anything as long as the movie isn't released and gone.

Johnson's action is always well edited, something which I find a huge turn off ( ) in DTV movies, with all the shaky, up close fights, here though you can tell it's the work of someone who knows their way around the action genre and I think that will help it along. The Butcher was good, if it wasn't for the excruciatingly cheap look. The Package will be another good time-passer like OITC, nothing more I doubt.

Holy fuck! Hahahaha! Maximum Blow...gotta love these Japanese trailers. Looks like Dolph gets a fair bit of action. The big plus with him doing these co-starring roles is that he always gets a good fight with a reasonable name star; Scott Adkins, Van Damme, Jet Li, Cuba Gooding, Steve Austin. In the last five years he's had more great fights than any other period. Okay so a few more doubles, but when we look at the quality of the choreography.
