Dolph Lundgren / Steve Austin.

Apparently to film after ONE IN THE CHAMBER and before THE EXPENDABLES II so I assume in the summer?

He's got a talent for suggestive movie titles, doesn't he?

Great news! I'm glad Dolph is going to be in larger DTV movies now. Its been awhile since he's had a big name co-star. Where is this suppose to shoot?

Will be interested in seeing what production company is handling this one, hopefully not the ones that have done some of Austin's other DTV films. The couple I've seen, DAMAGE and HUNT TO KILL, haven't impressed me much. Not so much Austin's fault, but they were just lackluster productions. I know Austin just did a film with Jai White so maybe the quality is improving.

And as we know from Brandon Lee, the Package is sure to be impressive! ;)

It sucks that both films are being produced through Brad Krevoy. He may be the worst DTV producer going. :(

Plot from Cinando:
"A courier for a local crime lord must deliver a mysterious package while being chased by a horde of unusual gangsters. "

So whos playing the courier. Austin right? Does that make Dolph a villain?
The plot kinda sounds EXACTLY like Kinda like Johnny Mnemonic. Is the Street Preacher back?

Oh, and what do we know about director Tony Giglio?
Anyone seen CHAOS with Statham and Snipes?

CHAOS wasn't terrible, but was fairly forgettable. Another movie that tried to have a USUAL SUSPECTS-like twist that just came off as lame.

Plot for this sounds exactly like Jeffrey Dean Morgan's new movie THE COURIER, though these sort of "mysterious package" plots have been around forever.

Chaos wasn't too bad. Quite well made, but it wasted the opportunity to use Statham and Snipes to the full, and had too many twists. Ryan Phillipe is also one of the most boring actors on Earth, which didn't help. So I think Giglio might be okay. Not sure he's a particularly good action director though, which may be a problem. The set pieces on Chaos were a little flat.

As for the director of this, Ernie Barbarash. Haven't yet seen any of his work. He's done a film with Cuba I believe and just did JC's The Weapon.

The Brad Kevoy think is a worry, but D has worked with worse and I think as long as there's a reasonable budget in each, you have the cast to elevate each film. I like the plot lines though. I'd assume Dolph is the bad guy in each one. Though actually, I'd quite like them to flip things round and make Cuba Gooding Jnr the bad guy in One In The Chamber, just to be interesting. Cuba doesn't generally play the bad guy. But yeah, I'd quite like to see Lundgren on bad guy detail in one of these films at least. But it'll probably be both.

Barbarash directed Cube Zero, which despite being a needless film I thought was pretty good. So, different genre of course, but there's hope there. That film looked beyond its budget.

I didn't like CUBE ZERO.

Dolph gets second billing after Austin? I barely knew who the guy was before THE EXPENDABLES though I get he's big in the US...
