Was it your take to try to go for a different score than the usual orchestra score?
Yeah, and again, it’s debatable if I picked the right decision or not. At the time I thought that I wanted to do something different. It was because of the budget that I had, because of the time that I had to work, why don’t we try to do something which is a mix of a, it’s a big word but I don’t have another word for that: between a pop movie and art movie, like I was trying to have those two together to do something that it’s kind of a hybrid of two genres. It worked for some people, it didn’t work with other people, I’m fine with that I prefer that’s it black and white, not gray, gray is the worst thing for me. But yeah I wanted to go a little bit more a mix of techno and jazz, and you know usually you don’t use that type of music for that type of movie
