Robert Longo had initially commissioned them this dark and industrial music before Mychael Danna composed another score that remained on the Japanese longer cut, before Brad Fiedel was ultimately brought in by Sony/TriStar to do another new one...
(one Black Rain track remained in the Japanese version and soundtrack edition though)
