Re-watch it one more time and you'll see that it's reputation as being bad is well deserved.

I ike it! I'd much rather watch this than Pentathon, Direct Contact, Detention or Diamond Dogs.

No argument there, but surely there is a big middle segment between Diamond Dogs and Men of War, 'd still place Stash House firmly in the middle section of DL movies, which sadly contains some not-so-great films.

Stash House is just too unengaging/boring and "Canadian-looking" to be of any particular interest to me. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I wanted it to be so much better, that's the biggest problem (with the casting especially Sean Faris, unless it's just bad directing the actors). The script could have worked (and it did for me on paper) but the final film is just plain boring with even the sound design being pretty poor (and why the stupid security cameras gimmick? It wasn't scripted and didn't bring anything - did the producers see PARANORMAL ACTIVITY came up with it?!). So for a film shot in the U.S. it just shows you that the Eastern Europe locations isn't just the problem sometimes... Thankfully the last 15 mins make up for the rest of the film.

I know what you mean, but people are saying this is one of the worst things he's ever done, and that's just not the case in my view. I do agree that it sits in the middle of his filmography, but I have probably seen some of those films more often than some of his 'best' films. Weird, I know.

Sean Faris is awful and has that annoying speech impediment (saying "SCH" instead of "S"). I haven't read the script but I think that any home invasion movie can be good without needing a big budget (it's a chamber piece). I think that the climax could have been impressive but, by that time, I truly didn't care anymore about what happened to either of the characters.

I guess it's a pleasure, I think I'm just fairly forgiving of Dolph's films... I've definitely seen, say, Storm Catcher more times than I have Defender for instance even though Defender is a far better picture IMHO. Ans I've seen SiLT more times than Joshua Tree, and I think SiLT is a really bad yet enjoyable film and Joshua Tree is in my Dolph top three.

But i guess this is the exact thing that I love about you guys, all being able to come together in D appreciation even through differences. I for one liked this one. It was different role for D ( and I like to see him diversify) there was plenty not to like about it but overall it sure wasn't the worst one but that goes back to my point at the beginning.

Even if all review were kinda unhappy with final product, I pre ordered my french copy (as I did with UniSol, OITC and The Package, not ITNOTK).

Well, I was quite surprised by the final product after reading bad reviews here and there.
The movie is globally solid. The script is not that original, but the actors and the suspense is good enough to make it easy and interesting to follow. Visually, it's quite good, and sometimes the director uses nice "gimmick" to hide the lack of budget.
Dolph is not in every frame of the movie, but his character is interesting enough.
I really liked this one.
