Anyone else think it looks like Harrison Ford if you cut before the eyes? I even wonder if they didn't use a Harrison photo (because it's not exactly the Dolph cut and I could swear there's a recent poster of Harrison that could look like it...

I kinda see it, but not so much.

I have heard other people point out the Harrison Ford similarities about the poster elsewhere too.

Distributors often use quite a bit of Stock images when they make their posters, so it's not out of the question that they have used only a part of Dolph's face here and photoshopped another head/torso to go with it.

I like the poster though, gives me a Terminator vibe, maybe it's the robots.

I do have to say, I am looking forward to this movie.
I saw an VFX test they did a year or so ago for this movie, and it looked pretty good.

Also since it's filmed in Singapore, even a lower budget might really stretch there, so this might be at least visually pretty nice looking.

This looks a hundred times better than that Chinese dragon movie he filmed with Scott Adkins though, everything I have seen of that movie screams "90's cheap TV movie" to me.

Also, this is the first time in a while Dolph is the only star of a movie, he's been paired up with other action stars lately, so it will be interesting to see how this sells.

Good poster. I think this may well be Dolph's surprise film of the last few years, and of his upcoming work. There was no expectation when it was announced, and when we saw all those involved in the film. But it seems the filmmakers are going to make this as fun as possible. I mean for example, D's other DTV projects seem to be more serious in tone. He was awesome in OITC but the film wasn't that enjoyable. It took itself way too seriously. The Package looks better, very action packed.
BOTD may well deliver plenty of entertainment, somewhere between BOD and Dark Angel in tone perhaps, with a plot line that's just crazy. The last thing you do in a film like this is take it deathly seriously.
I'm looking forward to this. If it turns out like Retrograde level cheapness and badness again, then it won't be a big surprise, however if it manages to kick some ass, even just half an ass, then it'll be enjoyable.
And as others say, it's good to see Dolph leading a project again.

ps- Dolphison Ford.

I think it shows promise too, even just by going on Hatton's previous film, Robotropolis; what that lacked in budget, it made up for in ambition. This may well be the same.

I understand it's from the same director as ROBOTROPOLIS, but why is he using the same robots fom that film???

Probably a budget issue. They already have the models done, so it's much cheaper to use them again, than to design completely new models.
I haven't seen Robotropolis, but maybe there are even entire shots or scenes they can re-use in BOTD.

Wait and see, but this one could be an unsuspected surprise from what I hear.

Even if the robots are the same, let's hope they're not lifting scenes or shots from ROBOTROPOLIS...

Without wishing to misquote him, is Dolph surprised about how it's turning out?
