Other Last Name is my favourite up and coming actor. He can slip into any role easily. Lol.

To be released September 24th Canada (wonder if the US won't be announced as well, unless it's a different distributor)...

Is Absent Guard / Rush still slated for a September release date as well in the US? I know in the UK it's released the week before...

RUSH (international) / AMBUSHED (new U.S. title) has only been scheduled for the U.K. so far. No U.S. date yet. What's funny is RUSH has been picked up by Anchor Bay U.S. and not U.K. and vice-versa... So E1 Entertainment is releasing BOR before RUSH in the US...

SonicPool Blows Away “Blood of Redemption”
Digital intermediate complete for crime/action/thriller, Blood of Redemption.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 25, 2013

Digital intermediate for Blood of Redemption, starring Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones, Billy Zane and Robert Davi, is complete at Hollywood’s premier post house, SonicPool Post Production.

Redemption Post Production Supervisor Karl Hirsch says SonicPool Post Production worked on all the digital intermediate for the action-thriller, including color correction and conform effects. He says anywhere from 200 to 300 conform effects were done at SonicPool Post Production. “We had a very difficult post production schedule. It would have been difficult for a movie without so many visual effects and so many conform effects. With those extra challenges on top of that, it made it really difficult to make our deadline. But SonicPool really came through.”

Jason Yanuzzi, Head of Video for SonicPool Post Production, says SonicPool has a unique approach when using features shot on RED, like Redemption. "Most post houses would color correct directly from the raw red files using a Red Rocket card and the conform would most likely happen in Da Vinci. We conform exclusively in Autodesk's Smoke platform from transcoded material.” Yanuzzi says this allows them to handle projects such as Blood of Redemption, where the editor is creating complex visual effects in his timeline.

“Our workflow, especially for this project, is far different. We continue to use the more traditional approach but with a modern day twist.”

Hirsch agrees with Yanuzzi. “We’re working with a team of experienced people. So there was a certain shorthand between the conform artists, colorists, editors and myself that made the process work extremely well and allowed us do things correctly and on time. If we were anywhere else, we most likely wouldn’t have made our deadline.”

Expected release for Blood of Redemption is this fall. SonicPool Post Production is located at 6860 Lexington Ave, Hollywood, CA, 90038. For more information about SonicPool, call 323-460-4MIX, or check out the website at http://www.sonicpool.com.
