I rented this last night. It was beyond bland. The cast of actors are all known for being vibrant and hammy in their performances normally, but they all seemed bored here and it was dour all over.

Blood of Redemption, how did this film come up for you?
I was in LA and between projects, somebody came and offered me the role and I kind of looked at it and thought ‘yeah I could do this’. It was a two week shoot or three weeks shoot for me so it was kind of quick you know.

Is Dolph so popular over there? I always notice his movie getting cinemas there.

B movies in general, it's like what Florentine said about action movies doing better in those countries than in America where horror is more popular but not there. UAE release is very confidential though it seems.

The UK and Australia branches of Anchor Bay seem to disagree on whether or not the film is more about the BLOOD or the REDEMPTION!

Hahahahaha. Well, there's enough blood, but no real redemption in the film, so maybe the poms got it right.

I'm glad that Dolph's movies are getting theatrical releases in some countries, but I just wish they hadn't picked one of his worst movies from recent years.
I don't know how big of an audience something like Blood of Redemption could get. I'm just afraid that audiences will think it's crap, and Dolph's better projects like Skintrade will suffer and go straight to DVD because of that.
That's why I don't usually like any of those DVD packs where they package 3-5 movies of the same actor together, I've seen these with Dolph/Van Damme/Statham/Seagal, and they always pick their absolute worst DTV junk movies to put on these releases. A casual fan might figure they'll introduce themselves to Dolph or Van Damme or whoever, and they get their worst movies they have ever made, and something like that might alienate a possible fan from their work forever.

Hahahahaha! This video made my day. So funny. Thanks for posting. But Hitler is wrong in one thing. Dolph's career is not over yet. He's too nervous about it. I understand him.

Small movies like these always had releases in such countries as UAE, the Middle-East, Indonesia. It's still small releases with no advertising whatsoever but part of the audiences there have remained keen fans of Dolph, JCVD etc. The sales agents/international distributors like Nu Image and the likes often have good/close contacts with them over there so local distributors can make deals to get the movies quite easily.

Yeah, loved it. But I think he is wrong in two things: Dolph's career isn't over and US4 was a good movie. Way better than US3 IMHO.
