Uhm... that looks... uhm... lame? Those out of context girls with water splashes, lame music, clips from various Dolph movies unrelated to the series...

I really hope the final product is much better than this promo that looks like it's been created by a trainee.

This is a typical promo for MIPCOM, MIPTV markets or the likes. I found the link on a Linkedin page for an MFA allumni banquet where the producers were gust-speakers but I don't even think it's supposed to be public...

It's like a pitch or sales speech to foreign TV channels (not even as demanding as movie distributors obviously). And remember this is American TV that is not HBO.

But it's clear we're walking into BAYWATCH territory here, so it's time to grief whatever kind of show we hoped it would be. Thing is I don't see how they're gonna sell North Carolina for California...

Now will S.A be doubling for South Carolina I wonder, or will they set it in S.A? It could be a budgetary thing, but is South Africa really that cheap to film in? I wouldn't have thought there'd be all that much difference.

Could this interfere with Expendables 3 I wonder? If D doesn't start filming till the summer, he may not be available for Exp 3. Unless he works in a break in filming for Rescue 3.
That said, if this show doesn't happen, I wouldn't be surprised.

It was never meant to be set in North Carolina, which was doubling for Southern California...!

I'm not sure the change is a budgetary reason, both are cheaper than California that's for sure, but it sounds like it could be something else too (South Africa will be much easier to get a Californian type weather in the fall for instance).
