Writer of THE MECHANIK here...

Postby Bryan Hill on 27 Aug 2005, 08:15

Hi all,

This is Bryan Hill the writer of THE MECHANIK. I've seen a rough cut and I have to say that I'm extremely happy with how Dolph performed as both an actor and director. He wanted me to personally thank you all for your support.

I'm even more excited to see what you all think of the film.

If any of you are interested....I have a BLOG set up for illustrations and short fiction. Check it out.

Cheers and thanks for the support,

BH

Hey, this is great. Someone getting' introduced as the writer of a film presenting Dolph! Nice link by the way. I still don't know if I am going to buy this movie...
In hope for someone who could replace the real Dolph one day if he's (hopefully not as soon) out of business...

so if you just saw a rough cut, does it mean the movie is not finished yet? I can't wait to see it!

It's not finished yet(The Mechanik), but I've seen a rough-edt...

For all the people unaware of the process of finishing a film, a ROUGH EDIT or CUT is a version of the film where all the scenes have been edited and cut together, but the soundtrack is not complete, the sound effects are not complete and there may be changes in the scenes etc.

From what I understad the film should be done soon.

Cheers,

BH

About budget...can't say. They don't tell writers these things. HA!

As for future projects? Dolph and I have talked about future projects and we may even have something in the works sooner than later...I'll keep you posted.

Don't forget to check out the BLOG.

Thanks for checking in, I'm hoping this is as good as his first effort as a director.

;)

Do you already know which interpret is going to take over the part of composing some tunes for The Mechanik"?

Elia Cimiral(sp) I believe.

He did the score for RONIN.

I hope he has a similar style of score in Mechanik. Ronin has a really good score. This could be the best socre in a Dolph film in years. Defender had a good one but this could be the daddy.
