What's hilarious to me about that cover is how prominent Vinnie Jones is. Especially when he's not in the film much, and his character is completely unnecessary to the plot. One of my main complaints with the trio of Serafini films... Same actors, crew, etc. and many of the actors are squeezed into a role that isn't even needed.

I hadn't seen the Brit films he had been in and don't follow football/soccer, and only heard of him because he was appearing in this kind of movies starting with Bauer Martinez' (THE DEFENDER producing company) NUMBER ONE GIRL in 2004 but still don't know why he's put so prominently. Here's another cliché of himself who can prentend to play mean just because he's got the physique for it.

I think at least in the UK, the whole Vinnie Jones shtick stems from his football career and his first film, Lock Stock. He always had a reputation as a thug on the pitch. He wasn't very skilled with the football, but better at roughing up the opposition.
He's played for a lot of clubs with reputations for being physically rough and intimidating, like Chelsea (at least in those days), QPR. Not only the players but the fans of these sides have reputations for liking to fight. Indeed Chelsea fans were in the news just last week for racism during a trip to Paris. They refused to let a black man on a train after the game.
Vinnies most famous period as a footballer was playing for a club called Wimbledon. They were nicknamed "The Crazy gang" and he was a big character in that. On and off the pitch. He's had plenty of violent incidents come out in the newspapers in England over the years.

So yeah, long story short. These roles are very easy for him, as there's a ring of truth to them (though exaggerated of course).

And he was the main character in the Brit (Soccer) Version of "Mean Machine" with Statham as The monk (Crazy goalkeeper).

It is indeed hard to believe someone over the age of 14 actually wrote this inanity down on pieces of paper. Hey, writers - instead of writing down to us, how about writing UP to us for a change? We’re action movie fans, not automatons that will just accept any old slop. From the unnecessary narration, to the gratuitous use of slow motion, to the puzzling stylistic choices such as quick cuts and foggy, blurred edges on screen, to printing the names of the characters on screen as if that matters/has never been done before, to the nu-metal-esque soundtrack, the whole thing seems targeted towards the ‘stupid market’. It all screams “NEW DTV production”, to its detriment.
