Apparently Sly is not joining them for the shoot in Greece, just the UK and Bulgaria. It looks like Dolph might have a bigger role in this though.

As far as I know that seems to be hearsay speculation (that doesn't come from any reliable source).

Mmmmhhh .... Greece is close to Malta... Maybe Dolph will be some kind of big baddy in Accident Man 2 with Scott Adkins (as the AM sequel is shooting in Malta this november).

That would be amazing and definitely plausible considering Adkins just did a film for Dolph.

Working on both AQUAMAN 2 and EXPENDABLES for 2-3 months, he might be exhausted to get onto another shoot right away

Filming should go on soon. I am more curious about direction of this new chapter - darker movie as it was tweeted couple of years ago ago or lighter like EX 2, 3. Personally I would wanted to be like the original EX (2010). I don't want this cliches from Arnold - I am back , go to the chopper 1000 times. It doesn't work, u said it ones between the line like a nostalgic thing but not that evident every time. It looks like u don't have writers for dialogue. Also don't want Dolph to be a goofy comic character like in the sequels. He was demonic , evil type of villain in the first which worked fine.

Does anyone know what is the plot about ?

A certain Panos Kouanis, head of National Center for Audiovisual Media and Communication in Greece has given an interview in the Greek media where he gave some details about EX4 production plans in Thermi, Greece. Here's the "Google" translation:

Is he going to have a role more like an Arnold part in the sequels just a little more expanded ? 50 cent is the new Terry Crews, after Weinstein effect refusal to appear in seq. What is G. Jensen doing in here ? This are the questions ? To be or not to be ?

I appreciate it's par for the course in many productions, but this process hasn't done the first three films too many favours, with some odd and clunky dialogue additions or just general incoherence. Sly's mind is a 100 miles a minute, but I hope this time things come out a little more consistent.

There's an interesting theory that the script would be derived from the aborted Statham/Jaa project HIGH VALUE TARGET that was in the works at Millennium a few years ago and was written by the same Spencer Cohen... A spec script that made the infamous Black List in 2012.

EX4 script is a revision of HVT by Max Adams. Just hoping they’ve kept the essence & intensity of the story, apparently it was a very solid script…

Thinking this’ll be the look Dolph is gonna be sporting at some point in EX4. Could Gunner be on a bender???
