I guess on cable VOD services mostly, I looked at mine and it's true that the way it's organized you wouldn't both to search for too long, they don't make it easy for you to look what you want so it'd better be placed first.

Interesting thought regarding the title spelling:

It's for the VOD release, titles often get listed alphabetically, so anything starting with a number shows up first.

That's me! :D

Yeah, that's a trend I've been seeing recently with DTV movies, since the physical disc sales have declined and I guess VOD is now a bigger revenue stream for many of them. Like they re-titled Seagal's latest from The Mercenary: Absolution to just Absolution when they announced it would premiere on VOD, or the upcoming Diane Keaton Morgan Freeman drama went from Ruth & Alex to 5 Flights Up since it will get a similar limited theatrical/VOD release.

I read an article some time ago that said if you're going to release your movie on VOD, your title better start with letters ranging from A to D or maybe it was F, but they said anything after that and you're movie has no chance of competing against the numerous other movies that are listed before that since people get tired of scrolling through the titles. Unless it's a high profile movie that might get featured on the front page of the VOD services.

In fact I'm a bit surprised that they haven't re-titled Van Damme's Pound of Flesh to A Pound of Flesh. Or maybe they will.

It's ridiculous!

The other week, I tried to vote for a (girl)friend in a modeling competition and when I got to the page it was in alphabetical order and she was hidden away in the middle. You had to click through pages and pages before you found her.

I wrote and pointed out to the arrangers that the legal term for that is "unfair competition".

They, actually, changed it to a randomized first page system.

Great success! :)

I like to try things as an actor that I haven’t done before. I’ve done a few of those films lately. I did one WWII movie where I play a Legionnaire. I did another one where I play a DEA agent who’s a very odd and odd-looking fella. I did something else where I’m in prison playing a guy who’s mentally challenged, but he’s really an FBI agent. So I’m trying to have some fun as an actor.

That's even worse than the number pun. What's wrong with simply "Forgotten"?

Plus, drawing immediate comparisons to The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (Or even the South Korean Western The Good, The Bad & The Wierd) is really not going to help it.
