Except that LEGENDARY was made with probably 50 times the budget of LOST IN THE WOODS (these are literally made for nothing) and he actually had decent-sized part who chewed the scenery (and some of his acting and assholeness was less on the nose than in other films)

Interesting to see Scott Schwartz with his name on the poster...but then again that's kind of a major indicator as to how cheap it obviously is.

And more Agent Red connections in Lost In The Woods. Directed by Jim Wynorski and written by Melissa Brasselle (who appeared as a large chested Doctor in AR).

There you go, eaxctly! (isn't Andrew Stevens producing somewhere?) This is like the Julian Jung Lee level...

EDIT: and a 1.4 rating on IMDB, not even AGENT RED and the likes got that low!
Funnily enough, Jim Winorsky (who doesn't have the track record of a decent director, far from it) is the one who reportedly saved AGENT RED from the worse disaster that it was by helming those 40 minutes of reshoots in 3 days.

I'd love to see the original cut. It's probably been burned years ago. But I've always wondered just how bad it could have been. Particularly as AR is arguably D's worst film.

Yeah me too, a VHS was supposed to be circulating among the company employees so I was hoping it could surface like THE PUNISHER workprint but nobody must think we'd care.

It's probably like the video tape in the Ring. You watch it and seven days later you die. ha ha.

#RiotMovie
As we began the last day of "scheduled filming" on this project,.. I was driving to set (the Tooele , Utah jail/prison) and I was thinking about all of the amazing people,.. and all of the effort that it took to pull off our latest film project (Matthew Reese Films and Mainstay Productions). I first of all wish to thank each and every one of the cast and crew that worked to make this film possible. #RiotMovie

I, and my film partner (John Lyde with Mainstay Productions), have always said that "producing movies means problem solving". Dealing with various road blocks and obstacles that come up, and yet still getting to our end-line goal of delivering a product that people want to buy. Most of the time it is a constant game of making sure that everyone has what they need to make them happy and satisfied. (: Egos and attitudes come out…emotional and circumstancial drama between people (which affects the overall production) come out… It is our job to provide an environment and medium by which a movie can be shot, produced, and delivered to buyers and those that wish to distribute our film. This process requires PEOPLE and their WILLINGNESS to see it through!

HOWEVER…on this film project (excluding attorneys...which don’y actually count because they are not ON the project), we didn’t find much of that drama at all. I witnessed so many people simply come together (cast and crew),..not because they were making a ton of money,..but because we ALL saw the value in each other as fellow creators, and we all cared enough to join each other, to make this project a success!

I have struggled in my past in relying on ANYONE to pull their weight in my collaboration with them… Weather it has been in a relationships in my personal life, or my professional life! Few HAVE pulled their weight! Most have NOT! I keep those that HAVE very close! #innerCircle

I, (in a previous blog entry) wrote about "The 7 habits of highly effective people” by Stephan R. Covey... and explored the first 3 habits (which are mastered by achieving “INDEPENDENCE”…achieving "SELF-RELIANCE" and becoming free of “CO-DEPENDENCE”)…
I, however, did STAY AWAY from the other habits…simply because they explore the concept The Author calls “INTER-DEPENDENCE”,.. I stayed away from this topic in my prior post, because I have not really experienced this before in my life…until NOW…with THIS film!

“IN-DEPENDENCE” is about becoming self sustaining and self reliant, and doing it on his/her own.
“INTER-DEPENDENCE” is where two (or more ) independent people come TOGETHER, with other independent creator. When this happens, SO MUCH MORE is possible!!... 1+1 becomes 3 (and beyond)! (Covey context intended)

This goes for relationships too! One CAN only obtain so much fulfillment on his/her own (without another partner)…YET to achieve ULTIMATE fulfillment?…That is only possible WITH another independent co-creator… CO-CREATING is the only way to go further than one can on their own! (Thank you Mike and Dawn!…for teaching me this ;) 1+1 can ONLY = 3 (and beyond) “IF” each individual involved IS AN INDEPENDENT CREATOR in his/her own right! (Co-dependents need NOT apply!:)

THIS FILM…. #RiotMovie … has testified to me that ONLY in the light of collaboration and coming TOGETHER with a common purpose and goal, can so much MORE be achieved! I stand dumbfounded with such gratitude for all of those that did come together to create this film! (Cast, Crew, extras, featured cast, and major stars…EVERYONE)
I THANK YOU! I RESECT YOU!! I SOLUTE YOU!!!

This has been a true privilege for me, as I have worked with, and watch us all contribute, come together, and create!

May we all taste (and be humbled by) The Power of “INTER-DEPENDANCE”! Coming TOGETHER to create and add to a common purpose and goal! #trust #beliveInEachOther

I make special mention to those at the helm (John Lyde, Dolph Lundgren and Jenny, Chuck and Heidi Liddell, VMI, and so many others)
I THANK YOU!

97 to go!!

As much as this film doesn't interest me, at least there'll be some fun moments from Dolph.

It wrapped on Thursday/Friday (and it started April 13).

AND THAT'S A WRAP ON RIOT!

These films don't even get 18 days shoots now. Back in the day until the mid-90s you could get a garanteed 2-months shoot for a low budget (not all but at least Dolph's), now it's barely more than 2 weeks! Of course the good thing about a prison flick is you don't have much company moves or many sets to build and dress but still (I've worked on a huis-clos feature shot in a house for 10 days in the California desert, it's doable)...

Dolph is so badass he can use a grenade launcher in a confined corridor haha. Hopefully this one turns out fun, but as you say Jox, the days are depressingly low in terms of overall shoot time. With Steven Seagal I think they barely get him on set for ten days sometimes, if you've seen Maximum Conviction, he's billed as the lead yet disappears for huge portions of the time to let Steve Austin do his thing. I guess the same could be said with Dolph in Hard Rush. Get a few relatively known people in for a few days each and pad out their scenes as much as possible throughout the movie. I think the low budget film industry is probably in the absolute worst place it has ever been.

EDIT: Just realised it's a street-sweeper like in Men of War...

Here guys...over 100 stills from the movie was added on production company FB page..but be careful...I have feeling that they basically showed the whole movie with this stills, and the whole Dolphs appearance in the movie...

Here is just one still...

From the aspect ratio, they even look like screenshots, not stills (set photos).

If Dolph and Randy weren't in the movie you wouldn't pay much attention to their roles which I'm pretty sure got extended and rewritten (or even added to the script) once they had them signed. In AMBUSHED/HARD RUSH several of the actors (like Carly Pope) are clients of the same agent (not manager) as Dolph and Randy Couture. So it's a win-win for him (who also has Scott Adkins, Cung Le, Tony Jaa, JCVD, Victor Ortiz and Ron Perlman as clients) to get them under the same film with each of their 10% and maybe even a deal for getting the movie greenlit this way...
