The WWE-produced film VENDETTA was released today through Video-On-Demand services, and it's basically the same premise as RIOT... Stars Dean Cain and Big Show:

Bizarre coincidence. Wonder how the films will compare with one another...

If only these had the taste of the DEATH WARRANT likes (but I guess despite era gap, they're lacking David S. Goyer writing it and Russell Carpenter lighting it).

EDIT:

I guess RIOT is too short general whereas PRISON RIOT is kinda like PRISON BREAK...

I dunno, despite all its cheessyness LEGENDARY really wasn't so bad considering (not mentioning Dolph's performance was really fun and way less phony than most of his recent roles where he's channeling his inner Eastwood/Sean Connery type way too hard). And it actually looked like a film shot for the big screen. While it isn't my cup of tea (family monster movie?), and while I question some of the writer's and producers intentions, I could watch it again with no displeasure; something I can't say about some titles that are really hard to endure and suffer.

Not mentioning I don't think Dolph and Liddel even have any scenes together, let alone a fight or confrontation like this suggests. ;)

Final mix time for RIOT. If only a phone could capture the magic of what we are hearing in Carlos Sanches's room.

(Of cource Dolph is the cover "centerpiece" even though he's probably less than 10 minutes in the film and the lead Matthew Reese is barely on it.)
