I've seen many of my short films on the big screen over the years, but I have to say, seeing a full length feature film, even if I was only the writer, is so far beyond better, it's surreal at its best. I got to thank John Lyde and Matthew Reese for this wonderful experience. Had an unreal good time during everything. Thanks guys.

The UK distributor switched back to the RIOT title (instead of PRISON RIOT) and the international artwork

Cover art looks cool but I probably won't bother watching this one.

I don't know if it's the Google translation messing up but otherwise this "Elle Man" Vietnam magazine is lying on every account:

(Google Translate):
Riot filmed at California State Folsom prison, one of the 10 most famous prison United States. The crew spent over two months with a team of over 20 designers to construction site two bedroom deserted place into the studio in the perfect home for the film. The filming lasted more than three months, in addition to the main cast, the crew gathered Riot longer than 40 masters and 60 extras involved in the confrontation scene in space crowd

Avis aux francophiles, l'édition française est en VF seulement !
Une abberation en 2015, d'autant qu'une VOST ne coûte pas grand chose contrairement à une VF, à croire que certains distributeurs nous prennent vraiment pour des cons et des beaufs...

(The French edition that just came out is in French dub only, a 2015 aberration that doesn't help pushing me to buy the French editions of DL movies in the last five years... Do distriutors really think that people who watch DL movies are just language-phobic dummies ?)

PS:
You can catch the movie in Tokyo if you happen to be there, or in Vietnam if it's still showing... ;)

I’m not sure what this streak of movies is all about. I’ve read some of Lundgren’s fanboys speculate that these movies are to fund living expenses for Los Angeles, because ‘that type of area isn’t cheap’. The reasoning before that from fanboy insight was that Lundgren was going through a divorce and that those aren’t cheap either.

"Fanboy" Jox replies to Manlymovie/The_Night_Rider:
Think what you will, agree to disagree, I don't speculate on discussions I've had with the man himself over the course of the past 8 years we've known each other, working together all along and meeting every now and then on film sets all over the world.

Watched this yesterday. It wasn't bad, some decent fights in it, well choreographed with nice long takes and wide shots. Dolph didn't have too much fighting to do but I'm guessing his limited time on set dictated that. His character was in it quite a lot though (there were a lot of supporting characters, even though Matthew Reese was the lead, he wasn't in it a great deal considering). Dolph's performance was more engaged as of late, I was surprised to see him go 'full retard' as described in Tropic Thunder haha, and I'm sure that with a more serious Shawshanky type prison drama and more character development he could have really given a great performance, given the extra opportunity. Chuck Lidell was good as the villain too and the end fight was one of the nicest lit in comparison with the rest of the film, which was patchy in places - e.g. the scenes set in one of the female characters houses were badly lit/over lit and look like they were from a student film. All in all though, pretty passable, clearly low budget (more CGI muzzle flashes but not as obvious as BOR). Looking forward to Larceny and seeing Dolph centre stage again.

Interestingly, someone on IMDB mentioned the plot is very similar to the first issue of the Punisher: Circle of Blood mini-series from 1986 (the one by Steven Grant and Mike Zeck that launched the Punisher as a solo comic-book character after his Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil appearances).
