Well it was very stupid. I thought at least it was short and to the point mostly. (Aside from the reporter subplot). I just wish that there was a more engaging lead who could elevate this sort of material (even just up a notch or two).
It's at least one I could sit through again, which I can't say about many from the last couple of years. And indeed I think growing older isn't helping me much either. ha ha.

This seems to get some kind of theatrical release in Russia on April 27th, under the title "Джек Стоун" ("Jack Stone")
The last few Dolph Lundgren flicks have been rough going (specifically the Serafini ones), so I entered RIOT (2016) with expectations lower than usual. So it was nice to see it actually putting forth some effort. It is essentially a vanity project (lead Matthew Reese's name appears 3 times in the first 30 seconds) and you have to suffer through UFC fighter Chuck Liddell - sporting a huge HGH belly - doing one of the worst Russian accents in the history of cinema (not an easy feat!), but the filmmakers came up with a twisty plot, some cool guard costumes and did some interesting fight choreography (which was obviously influenced by JOHN WICK and THE RAID films). Now if only that effort extended to those who make these terrible Photoshop covers. Not a Dolph-classic by any means, but a decent 85 minutes.

Have to agree with the above. It was decent enough. I suppose you could class these projects as paychecks.
