Of course, Dolph plays a Russian, it means he's only capable of doing so like Drago right?
My friend who is a definition of a middle Americas mainstream entertainment consumer messaged me to tell me Dolph is amazing in this show and wonders why he hasn't had his own John Wick style film yet. I replied I've been telling him Dolph is awesome for ten damn years and he's preaching to the choir.

So much better than his little cameo on "Chuck" a few years ago. I wish he wasn't playing a Russian again but this show definitely has a following so a lot of new eyes will be on him. Nonetheless I saw his debut episode and it actually suprised me how I felt that I wasn't watching "Dolph" but was immersed in his portrayal of Kovar.
Considering the last season or so of Arrow has been pretty cheesefest stuff it looks like they're trying to change up the formula this season.
I think this may end up being a win for Dolph.

That was mainly a double during the fight scene this week, right?

Yeah, and from what I heard it's not unusual in ARROW to have extensive doubling with barely any attempt to hide it...

It's because usually every character is in a masked costume.

It was jarring because the double was lightning fast, didn't have anything close to the style of Lundgren's martial arts abilities we've seen in films.

And the fact the double is clearly shorter in size and has a very distinct face/head shape...
That's probably one of the coolest, well edited Dolph montages I've seen. Makes you realise just how many movies he's been in and that's only a small sample of them really. Still one of the most underrated, underused actors.
I don't watch it anymore, so I don't know what the logistics are of a potential return for Dolph.

Not high. The producer said that they will be done with flashback scenes by the end of Season 5, which pretty much means they will kill Dolph by the end of it.
