The above was a FAKE debunked by James Wan himself:

Dolph:
You’re playing King Nereus in the new “Aquaman.” Is it good to be king?

It is good to be king. Basically, I try to keep the peace down there along with Amber Heard, who plays my daughter. She’s trying to convince me to join the right side. Then you have Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother. We’re trying to avoid war between the surface dwells and the people of Atlantis.

https://www.cbr.com/aquaman-test-screening-reactions/
it appears that an early test screening of the movie has received positive reactions.

According to a new report, Warner Bros. showed the film to select invitees on its studio lot and the reaction was a pleasant one.

We're not out of the woods yet. WB has a habit of taking great cuts for these films and butchering them a la the Weinsteins.

Right. Let's cross fingers for this one, which really seems cool if Wan gets his way...

‘Aquaman’ test screening details and reactions: an emotional action movie
https://batman-news.com/2018/02/22/aqua ... reactions/
Believe it or not, Warner Bros. held a test screening for Aquaman yesterday despite the movie not hitting theaters until December 21st. Most visual effects weren’t finished yet, but some were. Batman News spoke with several people who attended the screening and their reactions were very positive!

Aquaman was described to me as an emotional action movie. I was told that the tone is similar to Wonder Woman. There is humor, but it’s more of a drama. And thanks to director James Wan’s previous work there are elements of horror as well.

Aquaman has Star Wars-like underwater battles, scary monsters, lots of emotions, and an amazing villain in Orm, played by Patrick Wilson. Amber Heard’s Mera is very much a co-lead and not just a love interest to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman.

I’m going to get into more detail below. No big spoilers, but continue reading at your own discretion…

- Characters just talk normally underwater. No giant air bubbles like we saw in Justice League.
- The rumors were true, Jason Momoa wears the comic book Aquaman costume in the movie.
- Black Manta is a secondary villain. He looks just like he does in the comics and has the same origin as well.
- Superhero News scoop confirmed, The Trench is in the movie.
- Yes, Aquaman can talk to fish, and he does in the movie.

That’s all I can say without getting into major spoiler territory. Based on what I’ve been told, Warner Bros. has a great movie in their hands. Now let’s hope they leave James Wan alone and don’t cut it up like they did with Suicide Squad and Justice League.

If you're planning to watch any of the existing films to get a sense of geography for the universe, skip Suicide Squad and Justice League, and make sure you only watch the director's cut of Batman v Superman as the theatrical cut was released with over 30% of the film missing and all the scenes rearranged.

Thanks, yeah that's what I heard about SUICIDE SQUAD and JUSTICE LEAGUE, I don't need to see them, I don't think'll get into BATMAN vs SUPERMAN either (haven't even seen THE DARK KNIGHT), but as far as comic book movies go, I want to see LOGAN now which is a totally different beast (no pun intended)...

Funnily in my opinion BvS and The Dark Knight belong closer to Logan than to The Avengers and their ilk.

As the father of Mera (Amber Heard), King Nereus should have a significant part (even if some scenes get on the cutting room floor), dealing with Aquaman and his mother Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) and also Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe's characters, so I don't think we're facing the possibility of a HAIL, CAESAR! situation for Dolph's screen time...

Bet it's available sometime next week since Warner is releasing TOMB RAIDER on the 16th.

If not then Warner also has READY PLAYER ONE coming on 3/28 so they'll definitely want to have an AQUAMAN teaser ready to go in front of that.

Rupert is the brother Harry Gregson-Williams and recently composed WONDER WOMAN, Mel Gibson's HACKSAW RIDGE and the series "The Crown".

Hmmm ... sounds like the test screenings for the movie have not gone too well:
