Last time I checked there was barely any votes so someone likely bought them like they did two years ago for ACCELERATION...!

I refuse to believe you. A christmas movie with talking chihuahua dubbed by Rob Schneider deserves at least a 6 out of 10.

Having seen it, I can confirm, someone has paid for that rating. (But I wouldn't be surprised if a heap of studio films didn't do the same given how many mediocre modern films are in the top 250)
Dolph has fun, it's amiable enough, but it feels very roughly put together, even after four years in post.
I also had a prediction prior to watching, that Rob Schneider would go for his Mexican voice and sound twice as Mexican as Danny Trejo. That proved to be true.
I know budget has stretched enough to get a big vocal cast, but can't help but feel Jerry O'Connell would have made a much better lead as the geeky dad in this, rather than voicing a dog. It wasn't a great performance from the guy playing the role and awkward in the wrong way. But yeah, that wouldn't have been feasible on top of D having a major role.

Christmas films can almost get a free pass during the holiday season, so perhaps people just enjoyed it in spite of some flaws.

it is OK movie At least original idea of Christmas movie. Not like making Home Alone 6 - one worst than another. Ruined the franchise with cheap DTV after the 3rd movie.

Yeah, although I think what happened is that O'Connel, Love-Hewitt, Schneider and co were cast as voices long after the shoot, once Saban Films and VMI Worldwide put in more money into the project (would it have been completed otherwise is the question)...

Special Christmas episode has arrived, this time looking at the cinematic Christmas classic (?), PUPS ALONE! Katie Geilenkirchen from the One more Round podcast joins me to help make sense of this overlong mess. If anything, at least Dolph is fun!

I'm sure the French-speaking members of the board will "appreciate" the title chosen for its apparently "solely on Youtube" VOD release...

EDIT:
It's also on VOD on Google and Amazon
