MALEVOLENCE (Dolph Lundgren, 2015-2020) (status unknown)

I didn't want to start a new topic incase it was involving Malevolence, but it seems like Dolph is (done ?) shooting something with Eric Roberts, according to his instagram (and the caption from Dolph makes it sounds like the D man is directing).

He says it's a wrap "for" Eric Roberts, not even sure Dolph is involved and as far as I know he's taking a break and enjoying his daughters visit...

It looks like it lots of things, at first I thought Roberts announced his retirement, or that D paid him a visit somewhere, or that they've just hung out. I don't know what that is for but I'm pretty sure it's not about MALEVOLENCE. Dolph's "sore looser" t-shirt from EX3 hanged behind has me puzzled too... Also I do know Dolph does not always post in "real time".

I think he may have done a quick cameo in SHARKNADO 5 (to air August 6 in the US) along with dozens of other celebrities so that could likely be from that as well, or some promotional thing where they bring back some of the EXPENDABLES cast...

Yes, I might have "over thought" it  Theye are in the same circle of actors I guess, so it make sense they're juste hanging around or sharing "stages". (and yes, I noticed the delay in his IG postings).

(and for the sharknado thing, I thought about creating a topic after I saw a Dolph assistant on the S5 credit on imdb, but as it's a fully reliable source for not yet released stuff, i restrained myself).

One thing for sure is it's not about MALEVOLENCE (which should start in October at the earliest):

Oops, I meant it's NOT about MALEVOLENCE... :?

I bet it's a commercial or some other side stuff, nothing serious.

The Linkedin page of writer Jason Gruich describes it as "Home Alone meets Homeward Bound"

I assume it's a really short cameo

Ouch
Eric Roberts in a pet movie is always bad omen (he has done countless of shitty pieces of shitty crap with David DeCoteau). Let's hope it's just a teeny tiny cameo as you say.

Eric Roberts has always been careless and said himself he just wants to act and work.

But I saw it coming, it was bound to happen if look at the career at some of the biggest stars such as Gena Rowlands and many others (names escape me but I know it's never been unusual), they all made this kind of Hallmark TV movies and their filmographies were blown up with tons of unmemorable titles and cameos in the last decade or two decades of their careers...

Dolph is also willing to try out what he wasn't comfortable to in the 1990's and 2000's but the offers of the market are terrible, tasteless projects, even for family movies which I have nothing against, if they're not cynically taking people for brainwashed dummies like network American TV does.

I guess this is an actor's audition "tape"
https://vimeo.com/222751852

I guess I'll just watch Dolph's scene(s) and then put on the original and actually enjoyable HOME ALONE instead...

I just finished a four day shoot of our class member Brandon Burrows feature film "Pups Alone! A Christmas Peril". Brandon wrote the story, co wrote the script, produced the film, and took a small role in it. He cast me and two other members of our class, Steven Bennett and Chris Zuckert in roles that he specifically wrote for us. The film includes Dolph Lungren and Eric Roberts in major roles. It's a take off of the popular movie "Home Alone" with dogs as the heros. I play the father of the lead male role, granfather to his daughter who is also a leading player.

Can't be any worse than either star's low points and the filmmakers attached have shown skills while honing films of various degrees (DTV, Telefilms, Theatrical).

I knowmany here were underwhelmed with Merkin & Dolph's outing Altitude but we can only see.
