We have yet to see a truly negative review...

Also, too often the low budget becomes a targeting key point to criticise the film (and I'm talking about D's previous directorial movies) but that's thankfully not the case here, reviewers seem to not only acknowledge but embrasse the fact that CASTLE FALLS was made on a really low budget and that it has to be taken in consideration (and for some reason I feel that the Covid circumstances also make people appreciate the flick more)...

Somehow the welcome reserved to CF also kind of reminds me of how MISSIONARY MAN was received back in January 2008.

And in Spain? We will be the last, as almost always, and surely it will come to us on television or something like that, it would be a miracle if they released it on Blu-ray.
By the way, I was able to see the subtitled movie a few days ago and I loved it. Good story, good performances, very well directed, very well choreographed action scenes, I think it's Dolph's best film as a director. Great movie, I hope they release it soon in my country and I can see it again dubbed in Spanish.

Merry Christmas everyone! :D

In the last 10 years, the release of newer Dolph Lundgren titles (even the best ones) has been erratic in several European countries, including France, Italy etc...

I'm tempted to order the uk BR. Do you guys know if Dazzler usually respect ratio ? (I wouldn't want to get a 1.78 for this one :( )

It should be in the intended 2.39:1 aspect ratio :)

Longtime friend turned-screenwriter Tom Jolliffe takes a look at Dolph's career as a director from his 2004 debut THE DEFENDER to the pandemic-shot CASTLE FALLS...

I finally got around to seeing this and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised by it. Instead of building the story around the action they mostly did the opposite and gave the narrative a little more time to breath before the action took over. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this type of film from Dolph in different settings/backdrops.

Well done Dolph!

Was able to rent this tonight via Redbox. Definitely good to see Dolph back in the director's chair with such a solid action thriller. Quick pace and well done. Only issue I seemed to have was the rather generic score. Also probably one of Adkins' best since Avengement.
