I hope the movie will get a physical release in France (it's usually the case with that editor) as Adkin's latest effort, "One Shot", will only have a digital release (not the same company though). :(

Sadly the distribution of Dolph's newer films in France has been very erratic in the past 10 years, even SKIN TRADE seemed like it was hastily released and dumped "anonymously" by its releasing company (M6, not a small one).

Also, they might wait several years before giving it a release, so we'll see... but I won't hold my breath, and I am so grateful for my all-region player.

Should be in France before summer 22. But if it itches too much to see it, i'll get the UK BR (if it's in the proper ratio).

Another review
https://action-flix.com/2021/11/29/revi ... red-story/
Excerpt
Castle Falls is just as much a character study as it is an action film and the slow burn intro and the faster passed third act gel well with each other. Lundgren and Adkins do what they do best while at the same time give the audience a little something different in the finished product. This is a smaller budgeted affair so don’t go in expecting huge action set pieces but instead savor in the more personal approach that Lundgren gives the movie and its cast. The fights are more realistic in nature but that is part of its charm and there’s definitely enough action and violence to please the masses while at the same time delivering a human story that propels the action and makes it a necessity.

EDIT:
https://theactionelite.com/castle-falls-2021-review/
Overall, Castle Falls takes a while for the real action to kick in but it’s worth the wait and both Adkins and Lundgren give surprisingly emotional performances while providing regular beatdowns and shoot-outs to keep fans engaged.

Another one, on par with the rest, on Film Forum with 3.5/5.

Lundgren brings a lot of heart to the film with his performance as an actor and behind the camera as a director. This allows it to maximize Scott Adkins, for the brilliant action star he is and bring out the underrated actor that he has always been.

And Film Combat Syndicate.

Really solid reviews so far!
Also liking what I am seeing from the clips and trailer.
The thing with the title cards that one review pointed out does seem like an odd choice. I think D has stumbled before when trying to add flourishes like that to his films. The constant fade outs in The Mechanik comes to mind. In that case they do in no way ruin the film though and I don't think that will be the case here either.

Really looking forward to this!
