NEW YORK - Wednesday, January 10th- Maximum Effort Channel, a partnership between Fubo and Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort, premiered the trailer for FLIP A CÖIN, an unscripted show starring Dolph Lundgren, today. The show, airing on Wednesday, January 17th at 9:30 p.m. ET, will consist of 12 episodes, each featuring iconic Swedish actor and filmmaker Dolph Lundgren flipping a coin.

Yes, this is a real show. You can see the trailer HERE.

'Yes, I am in this show. I don't quite understand why, but they tell me it will be huge in Sweden, so it must be great. Nu kör vi!," said FLIP A CÖIN star Dolph Lundgren. "This is a dream come true. I've loved flipping coins since I was a little kid."

Maximum Effort Co-Founder and FLIP A CÖIN Executive Producer George Dewey added, "This show was crafted for people who love Dolph Lundrgen and Malin Ackerman or people who love Swedish things or people who enjoy placing wagers, a gentleman's or otherwise, as they watch television. We figured that pretty much covered everyone but to be honest, we never really focus grouped it."

Bleeding Cool: You're in a new show for the Maximum Effort Channel called 'Flip A Cöin.' How did that get pitched to you and the process?

Lundgren: It was interesting; the pitch was bizarre. Somebody came to me and said, "You know, Ryan Reynolds and those guys, you're doing a new show? A comedy show is you flipping a coin for 30 minutes." Episode two is like episode one, more or less, just different angles. I thought, "Hmm, okay, maybe they know something I don't. "They had a good director, and they had good visuals, elements, and storyboards, and they want to make it look like an Ikea, very Scandinavian, and everything is white and super serious, like Ingmar Bergman. I thought, "This is funny. I haven't done anything like that" I was on board for that, for sure.

I had forgotten that Ryan Reynolds named Dolph in the DEADPOOL end credit sequence, wouldn't be surprising he is a genuine fan...

“It’s interesting,” Lundgren laughed. “I have some other projects with him, too, maybe in the future.”

that sounds cool. As much as Reynold's movie choices are questionable and his performances rather dull (his best movie was made 14 years ago with "Buried"), he seems to be a fun dude and quite nice. I won't mind if he make stuff with Dolph, like having him in a support role in one of his bigmovies.

I'm not a fan of his either but he seems like a nice, decent guy indeed.

Nope.

Now that I think about it, in the "Dolph + Reynolds" stuff, I wonder if the later have approached Dolph to appear as The Punisher in Deadpool 3 (as rumor has it that this opus would feature a lot of former Marvel stars like Wesley Snipes, Ben Affleck or Jennifer Garner). I'm not interested at all in the movie (especially directed by Shawn Levy), but having Dolph in it would pick my interest.

Superbowl special?

I feel this is probably aimed at playing in the background in places like bars and casinos...
