Great spot, looks luike a big budget theatrical movie now, except that cgi helicopter scene of course, that cgi always annoyed me and that's the reason i dont have this movie as a Dolph classic in my mind.

A shame, but what I expected. It's in JB HiFi's current Buy 2 get 1 Free sale if anybody local wants to get it cheap (will work out about $8).

Still the French disc appears the winner here with its lovely 16:9 transfer.

Rupert Pupkin Speaks aka Max Goldblatt (Mark's son, see photo) on ST:
Dolph Lundgren stars alongside Gina Bellman, who you’d recognize from the UK comedy hit Coupling, as an assassin working for a government agency who ends up betrayed and hunted down by the people he worked for. Obviously this isn’t wholly original territory but what makes this shine are the action pieces, the character work between Lundgren and Bellman and all the explosions. Lots of them. There’s also some great moments where a building security guard turns up the freaky to 110 and tries to make sexy time with Bellman before getting smushed by Lundgren. This is the type of dark action he excels at and if you’re a fan of his in films like Command Performance or the Universal Soldier series, you’ll get a kick out of Silent Trigger.

Rutger Hauer attached in 1991?

The Algonquin Goodbye, another action film starring Hauer, is also in production.

(for your information the script was originally written in 1987)

Indeed, I got confirmation that not only Rutger Hauer was attached to star in it, but to direct it as his first feature! The writer Sergio Altieri did some rewrites under his supervision but then he got other acting gigs and the then producer of WEDLOCK & BODY SNATCHERS Michael Jaffe's option expired, until two years later (in 1993) Silvio Muraglia and Daniel Sladek (THE SHOOTER / HIDDEN ASSASSIN) picked up the script and got the project off the ground in 1995 with Dolph and Mulcahy...

Apparently their editions are quite good so there's good hopes.

I blind bought the Australian edition today. It's a visually astonishing movie. I agree with the stage play comparisons. But unfortunately there's some really silly writing.
