Beware it will likely not be the superb master from the Subkultur edition...

Indeed it won't be, so if you decided to buy this new edition (out November 23) don't get it for the Blu-ray itself, only for Mediabook packaging and / or the Dolph bust (only 130€ more than the cost of the BD haha!)...

I think it's the new German edition from above since the price and Amazon UK puts as an "import".

I haven't seen Michael Winner's THE MECHANIC in a while but having recently heard a radio discussion about it, I figured there's probably more similarities with SILENT TRIGGER than the seasoned hitman (Bronson, Lundgren) and his "protégé" (Vincent, Bellman).

I'm not sure the ST writer Sergio Altieri consciously drew inspiration from it given the genesis of the project, but it may have been a subconscious influence nonetheless, as it happens more often than we usually like to think. It's shame he's no longer with us so I could ask him about that...

To my surprise and accident, I met up with my friend Dolph Lundgen today. He is a wonderful soul and has a big film coming out soon. Luv him!

Hello,
I would like to know the differences between this bluray edition https://www.amazon.de/Silent-Trigger-Me ... +mediabook and this one https://www.amazon.de/Silent-Trigger-Li ... +mediabook ?

Both are uncut ?
Same quality of image & sound ?
English subtitles on both ?

Thanks a lot.

Both are uncut but not the same quality at all.

The Subkultur edition (below) is superior by far with a truly perfect transfer.
It also contains an interview with the writer, isolated music & effect track, and a very detailed booklet about the making of the film that I wrote (and I will gladly email you in English by PDF if you wish)

All the other editions by other companies have used an early master that was rejected by Subkultur and is fairly poor in comparison)

I just discovered that Mainetti made an album with .... the Pope (well, the one before the present one) !

A little fun fact that, IMHO, deserved a little post here

Didn't know that...!
Composer Stefano Mainetti has had a very diversified career, and I think he's quite renown and respected in Italy.
