Just got the High Land dvd on Ebay, so when it arrives i'll post and give more details (OAR, anamorphic, picture quality, etc) for you all. But at the moment, this seems to be the one to go for.

Just got this, and what can I say... this is THE one to go for. 2.35:1, Anamorphic, English sound, (yes, it's 2.0, but if anything, it's better than the fussy US 5.1 track), no forced subs, and the original title sequence. Very happy, many, MANY thanks to Jox for the tip.

yeah I got it too, and yet if you notice from the main title sequence it seems they took from another version (maybe even full screen and then matted it) and edited it with the French DVD version (you can tell from the colors, that are so different and darker than all the other VHS and DVD editions)... but sure it's better than nothing...

Actually, i did think that the black bars were a little big... maybe cropped subs?

Concorde Video (?) is re-releasing SILENT TRIGGER on DVD on November 12th in Germany. According to Amazon.de it will have a 5.1 English track and be in 16/9 (hopefully 2.35 respected aspect ratio).

I hope it's true because of course you never know...

Here's the enty of the OFDB - the version is cut :-(

http://www.ofdb.de/view.php?page=fassung&fid=415&vid=257384

It is 4:3 and the commentary says

Concorde let the old cut FSK18 version test again and now this went through with a release for 16 years and older. No wonder when you consider that the old version FSK18 had been cut badly.
Concorde has at least improved the DVD quality a bit and added the original English sound.

Sorry for resurrecting a fairly old/dead topic, but I was curious if anyone has a link to the trailer for Silent Trigger? I had a dream about buying it last night and was wondering if I really should--I just want to see the trailer before I considering the purchase.

Does anyone have a link to it's trailer?

I looked around online but that's like the one film of his where the trailer isn't an easy find.

Did find this cool scene from the middle of the film:

Yeah the trailer isn't an easy find, the US video trailer disappeared a long time ago and I only have the French/German dubbed trailer on DVD.

SILENT TRIGGER should be a blind buy though.
