I am a big Lundgren fan but he hasn't done much to impress me lately. I didn't think much of either "Hidden Agenda" or "Detention" but after reading the early word on "The Defender" I thought it would be worth trying to track down the DVD. The time spent looking for a good overseas source for this movie was well worth it. "The Defender" is the best Dolph movie I have seen since "Army of One." It may have a small budget but Lundgren the director has more style than any of his recent directors have had and it shows in the finished product. This movie may have had a smaller budget than Van Damme's "Wake of Death" or Seagal's "Into the Sun" but "The Defender" is better than both of those movies.

I'm hoping I will enjoy "Direct Action" when it comes to the states in June. I like the plot but having the same director as "Detention" does lower my expectations a bit. I will definitely look forward to the next time Lundgren is both behind and in front of the camera.

Good hint, carry! Oh damn, they tried to deliver it yesterday but the address was not correct. The street was ok but the number was wrong. :-( Can't reach them by phone on the weekend and had to write an email. I hope they didn't send it back already. :-(

carrie, don't worry about your package passing by subic bay freeport PH, goes there in the Philippines and is then departed to go your country...

mosquito, usually Fedex keeps the packages for some time. You can either have them re-deliver it to you or go pick it up if the Fedex center is near by you.

just watched "the defender" and im not very good at reviews so i wont even try, all i can say is WOW, i liked direct action but this isnt even in the same league, it just goes to show that if you want something done properly-do it yourself, Dolph did a fantastic job at directing himself as well as the other actors, they were all great,it really is one that should have been shown on the big screen.
i cant wait for the mechanik
p.s, at the begining when he was bare chested, chained up and being beaten, sorry you can call me a sick bitch but i kinda enjoyed that and all for the wrong reasons

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! YIPPIEH!

But... I have to wait until I can watch it. :-/ The deadline for my thesis is coming closer and I have to write every morning and every night until it is finished. Oh. My. God. After your short review, carrie, I can't wait to watch that movie. Your description of the beginning is mouth watering. ;-)

You lucky guys with the DVD in your possesion have it, right?

Is it possible for anyone to put upload it?

Or can I download it from somewhere else on the web?
