The movie deals with the death of Jesus, so.... yes it will have a heavy religious background

some nice shots! Is the movie set in Italy? The location and all the requisits might let you think so.
In hope for someone who could replace the real Dolph one day if he's (hopefully not as soon) out of business...

Obviously some scenes will be in Rome because it deals with the Roman Empire, but's I think the film was only filmed in Tunisia and Bulgaria.

Here's a new poster for "The Inquiry", as well as a synopsis... Warning for those who cares: this synopsis contains a lot of SPOILERS.

Ugly poster.
Looks like it was just quickly thrown together.

Wonder when and how this will be released.
Dolph and the director have been quoted saying it will hit theatres this fall. On the other hand i´ve also read it´s a TV-Movie.

One thing I really hope is that there will be an international version with english language, cause they dub everything in Italy right?
For example the old classic movie "1900" starring Robert de Niro and Gérard Depardieu is not avalible with english language despite the fact that you can see from the lips moving that the spoken dialouge is in english.

peace

Dolph didn't say it would hit the theaters and only mentioned "it SHOULD be released this fall", whatever medium it might be, I guess it's gonna depend of territories and the quality of the final product...

You are right about that Jox.
But in his Q&A on the official site Dolph got the question if any of the films he was making was coming to theatres. He answered that one was.
I just assumed that that ONE was The Inquiry.

peace.

So according to the article below and if I understood correctly (anyone speaking Italian?), it seems that THE INQUIRY is aimed to be released theatrically and six months later on TV in four parts (and I guess in a different version)

Looks good. Clearly NU Image are marketing it as an action film, but I don;t reckon it will be quite that action packed. Budget certainly looks bigger than the D-man's been working with lately, and Ornella Muti still looks hot.
