It would make sense, but they'd be killed at the box office by "Grindhouse".

Well in any case, don't kid yourself in thinking that THE INQUIRY is gonna get big in any way. It's already good that it's getting a theatrical release, and if it actually gets in 500 theaters, it's also more than a limited one or than other major productions like let's say PERFUME which is a $50 million picture...

Yeah, with 500 theaters it would be lucky to even crack the top 20 at the box office. So whether it opens the same weekend as GRINDHOUSE doesn't really matter. THE FINAL INQUIRY is a niche film that's going to target a very specific audience.

But I'd love to take that day off from work and catch INQUIRY in the afternoon and GRINDHOUSE later that night.

As a Dolph Fan don't miss this movie, let us go out in full force and support Dolph and hopefully this movie will do well enough in theaters and someone will notice how great of an actor Dolph as become since he came back from retirement. :)

Johnny Mnemonic was his las Theatrical Release;)

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately it seems that the release has now been pushed back to an unknown date yet (got the info directly from Fox Faith when I asked them for some marketing materials in order to help promoting the movie)... maybe the 6th was too crowded or something because Good Friday was a good fit...

I wonder if Foxfaith is having second thoughts (loss of faith?) about releasing their films in theaters and figures it's better to put them out DTV. I know they have another title due out in March (I forget the name) so if that isn't a success THE FINAL INQUIRY may not get in theaters.

Hopefully just the date is changing and it will get some sort of theatrical release.

Some nice pics there. The film looks really good. Could be Dolph's best movie. I can't wait to see it. I'll most definitely try and get hold of the TV version too, as it'll run 200 minutes overall, compared to 130 for the theatrical version. Hope there's plenty of Dolphage in it.

In the Los Angeles Italian festival program, Giulio Base notably talks about making his dreams come true by becoming part of the entertainment industry and presenting THE INQUIRY in Hollywood.

And here's what he says about casting Dolph:

Dolph Lundgren was the immediate choice for the role of Brixos. Could you imagine someone different in a role of a giant Barbarian warrior with blond hair and huge muscles? But Dolph in this story he’s not just the fighter. He delivers a pack of emotions. I really hope that with this performance he shows to the world what a good actor he is.

THE INQUIRY has just been rated PG-13 (for violence) in the US.

So it might not be a Dolph bloodshed (let's remind that only R4, MOTU and The Last Patrol have not been R) but since it's his return to american theaters it could be better for the box office...
