All right back on topic! Has anyone seen the Tv-mini series version of The Inquiry? Is it better?

I did, although in Italian and being 3 hours long, definitely better as the numerous characters and subplots have time to be developed and comprehensive AND much more Dolph footage including scenes with memorable and never seen performance from the "gentle giant".

I thought so. Hope they release it in english. Because the movie plays VERY much like a miniseries that has been cut down (wich it is, I guess). I'd love to see it as it was intended.

To me this was the worst movie Dolph has ever starred in. The action is horrible, but I kinda expected that before I put the DVD in the player, so I was prepared. But the thing I didn't prepare for was the absolutely horrible acting, the music which seemed so out of place in a lot of scenes and most of all the hilarious way they executed the concept. I admit the 3 hour version may be better, but if that means I have to sit through the 110 minutes I did see again, I'm not too sure if I will survive.

It's cool to see Dolph outside the usual action movies, but somehow I was incredibly embarrased he was in this movie.

I think the director had some bad taste and made poor choices and the acting is indeed over the top (is it the Italian sensibility?) even with actors such as Max von Sidow and F. Murray Abraham. BUT Dolph is great and this is one of his BEST performances as an actor, again when he's not the main character he STEALS the show!

Hmmm, I personally think he's a lot better in Cover Up or The Shooter, when it comes to starring roles, but you're right he was one of the better actors in the movie on the whole.

HOLLY S**T!!! NICE FIND! I HOPE IT'S TRUE! 8)

I only have a rip of the Italian version aired on TV. Obviously the story and characters seem to flow better as they are properly developed, moreover there are quite a few good additional scenes with Dolph/Brixos that are quite funny and unusual for him.

Just beware, because sometimes there is a czech dub recorded over the top of the english dialogue sometimes, and it's not removable... I got stung once with a czech copy of Mean Guns that had the same issue.

Dear god... worth a try thought isn't it? I know the releasing companies were delivered with the extended cut in SD (because the French one did), but they obviously chose to only put out the shorter theatrical cut and it wasn't a big enough title to warrant editions with bot cuts.
