The problem is that it tries to be an honest depiction of the Pentathlon event and a standard Lundgren action film. The combination just doesn't work. I would have preferred it to just be a traditional sports movie. Wouldn't have been all that original but it would have helped it stand out a bit in his overall career of films.

I feel the exact same way...but I would still say it is better than a lot of his other films.

Dolph definitely is the underdog of 80's action... i mean, damn. He has classic films like Pentathlon and I Come in Peace that dont get Region 1 dvd releases. (even if Pentathlon isn't that great of a film) It makes no sense whatsoever.

I bet there has been some legal issues with the US rights holding off both movies which explains the lack of DVD release.

No offense to your opinion or anything man, but I wouldn't even consider calling Pentathlon a classic.

This is one Dolph movie i haven't watched, but it is considered by most fans as an average Dolph movie right? What kinda legal rights do u think it's holding I Come in Peace to be released in DVD region 1?? :(

Pentathlon was released by LIVE Entertainment on video... The LIVE library was later purchased by Artisan, which was later purchased by Lion's Gate. Therefore, Lion's Gate owns the rights to Pentathlon and could theoritically release it if they want... However, seeing as how there's really not much of a demand for it, I highly doubt this will happen. End of story.

That sucks. Pentathlon was not a good movie but it did have a few things going for it.

They should have just made it a sports movie instead of trying to make it an action movie with nazis.
