EDIT:

FYI, Lundgren did not "turn down" the role in RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II... Stallone bought out his contract once he realised that the actor hired was the same guy he wanted for ROCKY IV.

Questions answered by Sly on StalloneZone:

bk
How do you now feel about the theatrical cut of Rocky IV now that your directors cut is complete? Any Major regrets?

MANY IT DID NOT DELVE INTO DRAGO ENOUGH AND NEW EMOTIONAL SCENES WERE LEFT OUT AND BETTER FIGHTING ALSO I HAVE MADE IT WIDE SCREEN

(I assume by "widescreen" he means in 2.35:1 scope aspect ratio)

JudgeRico
Did Rocky have any more title defences in the years between his rematch with Clubber and facing Ivan Drago?

YES ,3 A FIGHTER NAMED GUNBOAT JENKINS 4TH ROUND KO , LOU OLSON KO 2ND, AND SCRAP IRON IKE GREEN , TKO IN THE 11TH

What is the origin of this photo ? magazine scan, slide [...] ?
I try to improve it with a software (removing spots and other things), but the quality of the photo is really poor

You’ll have to ask Alan Scott from the account above, but again this was just a test photo for reference so my guess is that it was originally taken as a polaroid (they used to be the main tool on set for several departments before digital). Then he might have just taken a photo of it in order to post it or a low res scan…

I don’t mind the flaws (dirt, grain), it makes it look vintage / authentic, which it is..,

Indeed, given the colorimetry, it looks like the Polaroids of the great era!

Well, I just saw the NEW trailer for the new directors cut of Rocky IV, And in my humble estimation it is amazing. Great work by the trailer editors! This battle, with the new footage is extraordinary. Premiering in Philadelphia November 11!

I SEE U, Episode 16: Four The Love of Rocky
https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/arti ... -of-rocky/

Very good interviews with Vince DiCola and Frankie Sullivan of the band Survivor ("Eye of the Tiger", "Burning Heart").

It will be interesting to see how the music cuts with the newly-edited version...
