Sly briefly mentioned him at one point (the punch that lead to the hospital visit story) but Dolph never showed up in the documentary.

Actually he passed away on October, 8. Nobody knew. I saw an interview with him on red carpet for Creed 2. Looked like he was paralyzed or had some neurotic problems. He had a very sad faith losing his wife so early, raising alone his only child. I guess Stallone attended his funeral.. So sad that this generation is leaving... In 10 years we will be so poor... the best will be gone and i do not see stars of this range anymore. Generation of real filmmaking. What a pity.

I was fortunate enough to meet Burt at the end of 2019, as he attended the Comic Con Scotland event in Edinburgh, and I went along to meet him there. He was a little on the quiet side, except when giving his panel talk, but he was a great guy. I gave him a drawing that I'd done of him with his character of Paulie standing behind him, which he loved and proceeded to sign for me.

He had apparently been in talks with the Con organisers to come back again next year, and I would gladly have met him again if he had done so.

RIP.

Was great in so many films and shows I enjoyed.

After Carl Weathers, French fans mourn the passing of Alain Dorval, Stallone's dubbing voice, who's almost as revered as Sly over here...

He dubbed Dolph in MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.
