I guess that at the time of "Rocky IV", there wasn't any spin offs so nobody thought about it, and now it's 19 years too late...

A really cool ide that some one in the movie industry might have gone for at that time, Drago was probably Rockys most popular opponent.

To bad it never happened :(

But is it really to late

I think he's a "Captain" because he was a soldier in the Soviet army and they hand picked him to box or something like that. It explains a lot in Rocky Legends video game!

Actually he almost signed a boxing contract before he got into movies. I think there is an article somewhere on the site where he mentions being "the next white hope" in boxing at that time. I think it was in the article with Grace in Interview magazine.

ok, I'll think he would have been great. But he said that he likes his nose, so he wouldn't box.

I remember saying he didn't like boxing because he wanted to remain smart and not lose his head and he liked his nose! Here is an excerpt from Interview Magazine:

SCOTT: Why did you get into kick boxing instead of real boxing?
HANS: As a matter of fact, when I graduated high school I got a scholarship to Washington State where I studied chemistry for a year. I did boxing, fencing, and karate there for about a year. I did pretty well in boxing, but I didn't like it because even if you're fairly good you get hit in the head all the time. I figured if I was going to pursue an academic career it would be stupid to wreck my head. I used to go home punchy everyday. I said the hell with this. I'll do kick boxing karate instead. In karate you can take one punch and it will knock you out, but you're not going to get bam-bam all the time.

and this quote from The Washington Post:

Lundgren, who says he worked harder for "Rocky IV" than he would have for a real boxing match, says he has been approached to don professional gloves. When he went to Vegas to catch the Holmes-Spinks fight, "they were all over me: 'Aaay, why don't you fight?' I said, 'I like my nose the way it looks, my brain the way it works.' "

I watched a bio of sylvester stallone and he said that carl weathers broke three ribs and his nose in rocky 2 and dolph punched his stomach and he later had difficulty breathing so he went to the hospital and it turned out that his heart swelled up and he had to stay in intensive care for 11 days! (they almost called rocky 4 off!!) he never said anything about the sled or rock bag incident (maybe it never happened!) he also said that rocky 4 was the hardest because dolph was so strong that sly would try to yell "CUT" with his mouthpiece down his throat!!
