Thanks!
Also, it's difficult to know how true that old perception is. I mean, changing a movie title from "A Day of Tomorrows" to "Fatal Death" or "Fistful Of Punch" or whatever... Did "Joshua Tree" do worse or better, relatively, in the markets that called it "Army Of One"?

Exactly. Good question...

Nice work there, jox, and thanks for the quotage. I was a little harsh in my comment, but that was just a raw thought from me. I just don't understand distributors' "logic" sometimes...

Well, guess it's better late than never... I don't know why the US continues to bastardize either the titles OR the covers of Dolph's movies... The Russian Specialist was supposed to be The Mechanic... Why they changed it, I have no idea... Then the covers; for Detention, a photo from Sweepers was used; for Direct Contact, we got a photo from Russian Specialist; and for Command Performance, a photo from Direct Contact. Makes zero sense...

Does the world make sense?

It's been rated 18 by the BBFC (and the UK title really is officially "Dolph Lundgren is the Killing Machine"...)

The UK edition will feature both letterbox 2.35 and full frame 1.78 versions.

Why on earth would they bother with two different framed versions? Or is this just for people that don't like black bars on the top and bottom of their widescreen TVs? If so, that's hysterical, and just like those 'fullscreen' DVD editions they released of Star Wars etc. to appease the un-vocal minority.

Some stupid reason like that I suppose, but at least they give you the choice to watch one of the other (I wish that was the case of all the full screen or wrongfully framed editions we've been forced to accept).

Very true. Well I hope they don't sacrifice quality for the double presentation. I pre-ordered the Blu-ray myself, can't wait!

Dolph Lundgren Is The Killing Machine is the story of Edward Genn (Lundgren) – a Soviet-era sleeper agent and trained assassin living in America. Working under the code name “Icarus,” Edward is stealthy and fearless: cloaked within the shadows, the ability to kill with extreme discretion his specialty. But times have changed, the borders of Europe have been redrawn…and Edward is ready to break with his dark past.

With a new identity, Edward is prepared to distance himself from the world of assignations and assassinations; he is ready to re-introduce himself to his wife and daughter. Edward may be determined to forget, but there are others who still remember Icarus, The Killing Machine…and they will do anything to destroy him. Dolph Lundgren Is The Killing Machine is the story of a man defending his future against his sinister past. Ready for a life of peace, Edward has one more battle to fight.

Hmmm...although the look almost the same...UK cover is in the end better. Maybe is because of the blood behind Dolph that gives the whole cover cheesy feeling...don't know...but I know for sure that I'm buying UK edition...

And maybe German for that different cover...

Because the transfer and aspect ratio are better than the German one.
