Finally saw Icarus a couple of weeks ago, a bit of a disappointment really, it was okay I guess, but it also had alot more potential. If the producers meddled with this one, I'm not surprised, but if that the case then I feel sorry for Dolph. Respect the director, dammit! :x

From DVDforum.nu/ Filmforum.se interview :?
http://www.filmforum.se/artiklar/interv ... 52399.html

rough translation for non Swedish-speakers:
Q: What can we expect from your next directorial effort Icarus? Rumours have it that the producers made it difficult for you... (Dolph wanted to play the bad guy but the producers didn't let him, the script was rewritten and the film recut without his involvement)
A: Those motherfuckers messed everything up from the beginning. I shouldn't have done that film. It's not my work, it's not my cut. But the film after that! Then I'll show everything I've learned, hopefully with a bigger budget than usual!

Bastards! :x Well, not an unusual procedure in this business, I guess, but atleast Dolph seems to take it well, and like he says, he has still learned something from the experience.

The Dutch Blu-ray edition is not in the correct aspect ratio (1.78:1 instead of 2.35:1) is at 1080i 25 frames per sec not 1080p 24 frames per sec... (and aso the DVD I assume)

From an article about the actress who played his daughter in the film:
http://www.southdeltaleader.com/news/223698481.html
One of Katelyn’s most challenging roles was in 2009’s The Killing Machine, where she worked alongside action star Dolph Lundgren, playing his daughter dying of heart failure.

I wonder if there was a slightly darker version of events in the film? Perhaps making it more of a straight out revenge piece. Whether they shot it or not, I don't know.

Or...that could be completely wrong.
