Haha, for me the opposite happened, because the French cinema release was the unrated extended cut with the reshoots (which of course we didn't know about then)... and then about a year later when I bought an import VHS from the UK I was shocked to see it had a different (happier) ending and was missing some of the final fight with Severance and Rudy!

I remember the UK VHS version getting absolutely eviscerated in Impact magazine's review back in the day as the pan & scan was so poorly done it cropped out most of the stunt work.

YES! That's the one. It's always stuck in my mind. Impact was a great magazine.

Extras:
- 24-page Booklet

- Unrated Version 106min (SD, 4:3 full-screeen, English & German Dolby Digital 2.0)

- Alternative Ending with Commentary by Vic Armstrong & Andy Armstrong
- Interview: Vic Armstrong

Same extras as the US Shout Factory edition except for an SD version of the unrated cut in 4/3 (likely a rip of the US DVD). At least the extended cut is widescreen on the French edition (but still SD).

Language barrier lol, i was trying to say that the pciture, identical with the US Vhs and dvd release shoudl had have an artwork due to the quality of the photo itself was crispy and blurry.
