One of the best Lundgren trailers I've seen. There is more than one Sweepers trailer and I hadn't seen this one before:

Very nice. Makes it look like it's a string of explosions and shootings. ;)

wow, cool trailer! Explosions, shooting,...
Do you guys know another version of it? it begins with a slow mo, you see Dolph and little Johnny running...and Dolph yells "Johnny" with a distorded voice, he sounds like Darth Vader
I guess it's the worst use of slow mo i've ever seen

"fighter of death" - new title, picture from the cover taken from UniSol, story is obviously Sweepers. Strange!?

Yeah it's "Sweepers" (and they also used the bottom pic from "Retrograde"), they did the same with "The Peacekeeper" for which they used "Silent Trigger"artwork...

Well SWEEPERS was released on DVD about 10 years ago now so it might be out of stock but it's easy to find a used copy.

I was almost falling asleep. But that wasn't due to Sweepers, i've just not had alot of sleep lately. I managed to come to the end. I thought it was a fair effort. The best thing about the movie was the music, it had that African music that fits very nicely when looking at landscape like that. The movie just rolled along quite unimportantly for about an hour....nothing really happened to make the viewer care. Then 1hr 8 mins came...and we see some muscle!

The second part of the film is much better. For the gung-ho's out there, we get alot of action and some nicely shot scenes of Dolph taking out five or so guys without a cut, well choreographed. If only Dolph's movies had bigger budgets, they could be really good. It was obvious that the bad guy was that Hopper because the other bad guy wasn't high enough looking to be the final boss. There is some nice scenes in this movie, like the mine-shaft scenes, Dolph looked his best in these. I feel the ending was a little rushed, but it was dolph-esque, so its all good.

The same problems came up as with previous Dolph's...bad acting, lack of gripping story and lack of motivation. I do like Dolph with more and more i watch of him, regardless of whether they are bad or good. So, i will keep watching. 6 remaining....

DTV Grade: 5/10

(10/10 on DTV movie grade would be about 5/10 on a normal movie grading system)
