I had no idea Dolph actually auditioned for the role; I was under the impression that he was offered it. In the end, maybe it was for the best, especially seeing its dismal box-office returns. Although I wonder if it's difficult to actually make an exciting Conan film in this day in age. The character is just a little too outdated nowadays...
