What's the hummm for? Not really interested in this one to be honest, even if Dolph wasn't in it, if they got a known actor to play Conan and a few good co-stars I would have checked it on dvd, as it stands I couldn't give a shit.

Looks a little silly that. There's a whiff of 300 about it.

Holy god have any of you seen the new teaser trailer for this movie? It looks like Dolph passing on this might be one of his best career movies yet! The teaser is god awful frankly... it's quite rare when you manage to piss off the pro-REH crowd and Milius/Arnie crowd at the same time.. but it looks as if Nispel has achieved this rare feat!

Dolph hasn't "passed on it" per say, but he just wasn't chosen in the end.

Well... you have to understand from fans of the franchise's standpoint that we have all been waiting a very long time for our favorite Hyborian to be back on screen... forgetting the awful sequel that was "Destroyer" the first Conan is a loooot to live up to.

And after all these years the first teaser they put out is some terrible voiceover with some smoke and a barely audible few lines from what looks to be a Hawaiin model? ... Yikes.

The 2nd trailer

Dolph was passed over for a role in Conan? I would've liked to see him in a movie with Jason Momoa (I didn't care for his Conan casting when it was announced, but now that I've been impressed with his role in Game of Thrones...). Ah well...maybe I'll fantasize/imagine Momoa's Conan and Dolph's He-Man battling it out with swords in my head 8)

Yeah Dolph was up for the part of Corin, Conan's father, for a while and he prepared for it, it was between him, Mickey Rourke and Ron Perlman. Guess you could asked them to CGI Dolph and replace Perlman in a special edition for ya!

Like somebody said on the VD board Momoa kind of looks like Brandon Lee ad times, so maybe he could team up with Dolph for a SHOWDOWN sequel?!

*GASP* whats the url to the VD board?!!? :) I could definitely see the resemblance between Jason and Brandon. *fingers crossed* on a SiLT sequel and/or just Dolph and Jason working together in the near future :D

I've recently interviewed the SHOWDOWN producer Martin Caan, who seemed to have no idea the movie had had such a cult following after its poor U theatrical release but was more thinking about doing a remake with Chris Tucker! (don't worry though, he hasn't officially produced any feature since PENTATHLON)

I can kinda gather what you think about Chris Tucker, Jox, haha but I think he's quite funny. Hey as long as they didn't cut Dolph out of it and made him the action star (like Jackie Chan was for the Rush Hour movies) or a villain I'd be okay with that. Obviously it's never gonna happen but. Anyway why not just cast Dolph as the villain in RH4...
As for Conan, the role woulda been great for Dolph as he has the look for it but Perlman is cool and he's good in Sons of Anarchy. Hopefully another opportunity like this will come up for Dolph in the future.

Dolph and Ron Perlman would make good co stars! I could see Dolph making an appearance on Perlman's TV series "Sons Of Anarchy" quite easily. I've also thought Dolph and Keven Sorbo would make an interesting match up (He-Man and Hercules in the same movie!)
