JOSHUA TREE 2 (Vic Armstrong, ????) (unproduced)

According to Vic Armstrong's website he has written a sequel to Joshua Tree. I was just wondering what y'all think of this, and if it would be any good. Armstrong's style has evolved very much since Joshua Tree came out (as have action films) but if this were a hardcore bloodfest sequel I'd love to see it happen.

Any opinions?

That would be great but as as I understood it can't happen for spread out right issues, as Vic reminded me a few weeks ago "it's just wishful thinking".

It didn't even mention if it was about Dolph though. Could be something completely different. Maybe like those "Behind Enemy Lines" movies. The first one came out in theatres and had big names but the others were straight-to-DVD fare with different characters and d-list actors. :(

Vic Amstrong is not like that and he really likes Dolph, if he wrote a sequel, it must be with Santee. (would be different if the idea came from the producers)

Vic Armostrong is definetly a great guy, one of the few in the business! I had a great talk about Joshua Tree and the sequel 3-4 years ago. I would be satisfied if we'll get a special directors edition one day..

I would KILL for this to happen. Literally...kill.

Just tell me the name and face. I won't hold my breath though. I just hate seeing Dolph turn his signature into a rubber stamp. Like Val Kilmer after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Dolph just seems to be signing up for ANYTHING after The Expendables.

He's better than that.

I dont know either.
One reason could be money (obviously)
But, because o the success of the expendables, DTV market etc he may see this as an oppotunity

A lot of Dolph's movies from the early part of his career were part of a series.

Rocky, AVTAK, Masters of the Universe (an aborted sequel led to Cyborg, itself it's own series), Red Scorpion, Universal Soldier, The Punisher...

Sadly, Joshua Tree is a one and only...for now. :P
