This was a cool project set in the small town of Bad Axe, Michigan. An original and ambitious sort of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE slasher meets David Lynch in an original mix of realities in live action and some animation, with a $15 million budget from a new production company. Was initially supposed to be shot in March it's doesn't seem to be happening for now...

Found out that BAD AXE was to star none other than Gary Oldman, Dolph, Sharni Vinson and Lucas Till. Written and to be directed by Adam Prince, produced by Eric Fierstein, production designed by Mimi Gramatky, and featuring comic art by Erik Rose.

Seems the pre-production was advanced and moving on by February 2012, don't know what happened or if it's ever gonna get off the ground... A shame this seemed great, original and with tons of potential.

this movie mashes up comic books, slasher flicks and lumberjacks in dark humor. It does for comic book writers what 8 1/2 did for directors.
